Our scheduled match this weekend against Woodford has unfortunately been called off after we were informed Woodford was unable to field a full squad. A combination of injuries, illness, and player unavailability meant the team fell short of the numbers required for a competitive and safe fixture. After discussions between coaches and management from both sides, the decision was made to cancel the game rather than risk player welfare or compromise the integrity of the contest.
While it’s never ideal to lose a matchday, the break does offer the squad a chance to regroup and refocus. The coaches will be hoping the extra week allows a few more players to return to fitness and strengthens the numbers available for selection.
All eyes now move to next week’s big Christmas game against Harlow, a fixture that always brings plenty of intensity and local interest. With a strong home crowd expected and players eager to make a statement, the team is determined to put the disappointment of this week behind them and deliver a performance worthy of the occasion..
