Fordy takes DoR through his paces.....

This week, newly appointed co-social secretary Joe Forde takes our DoR, Andre Moreland through his paces.....

It took a long while for you to shake the Gimli moniker but now as DoR you face an even tougher task. A difficult opening season as Dor, what do you think of your first session in the top job?

I feel I've achieved my initial aims, create a positive atmosphere around the club that people want to be a part of whilst trying to get people enjoying their rugby again. It sounds strange saying relegation wasn't a bad thing for the club however in this case, it probably isn't, we can now focus on enjoying ourselves and building something exciting again. It's been great to hear people enjoying themselves pre and post match, when you've got this mix, results are soon to follow.

What are you expectations for next year?
We've got to set the bar high, we've got a talented group with more coming in. There's no point getting into any sport to finish 2nd or saying we just want to survive/be competitive, 1st has to be the expectation and I know they the boys will work hard to achieve that together.

The average time in post for a barking DoR/ head coach over the last 5 years has rivalled the life expectancy of a newly qualified pilot during the world wars? What is your long term goal as DoR? Have you bothered to set one?

*spits drink out*.....Long term goal is to help build the club as best as I can, that starts with getting the word out about the club and the things we have planned. We are in an area rich in untapped talent so youth wise, we need to continue the great work they have already put in in promoting rugby and the club, the youth section has seen great success and growth over the last few years and that will have a positive impact on the senior set up for years to come, it's been great to see Sunday's busy at the club and shows that the club is thriving. Senior wise, long term has to be get back into London one, establish ourselves as a top club in that division and then push on. The other goal is to re-establish the 2nd team, the plan is to enter into as many friendly matches as possible this season with a view to entering a league the year after.

Is it true you bought a dog purely for social media purposes?
This is not true although he has made my social media more popular.

Favourite dawn meal?
Dawn Spesh

What’s your 3rd favourite dinosaur?
Pachycephalosaurus, it's head has a shape that reminds me of my own.

What was it like being a stunt double dwarf in lotr? Is Ian Mckellen as nice as he looks?
That was a fun part of my life, there are rumours of a TV series so I hope to get a call to return to that role soon. Ian is a nice fella.

Do you think greyhound racing would be more interesting if they employed small monkeys to sit on the dogs backs like jockeys?
I literally have no idea how to answer this one, who came up with it, was it Rhys Battye?

How long is your thong?
2.3m

And finally... what do you really think of Ross Reed?
Big shops most famous mentalist. Great at the breakdown come match day and his enthusiasm has really lifted the dressing room.
