The tournament is England Rugby's National Sevens competition for adults, male and female. There are several levels of competition with local and regional qualifying stages culminating in a national finals with some impressive prizes to be won.

All teams/clubs are invited to enter by event organiser Rhys Dudley, the details are:

Entry Fee - £25 Deposit – All deposits to be repaid on arrival with the option to donate to Essex Charity 7s chosen charities (Injured Players Foundation & Mental Health UK)

The possible tiers are as follows;

Open: Open to all invitational and club sides who want to compete for the highest prize in English 7s

Social: Open to all RFU member clubs (or teams largely made up of club players), this is a less serious tournament where less experienced players are exposed to tournament 7s.

Womens Open: Open to all invitational and club sides. Competing for a range of prizes across all levels of ability.
