The club would like to welcome Tony Knowles

We are delighted to announce our latest addition to the senior coaching staff for the upcoming season, Tony Knowles

Tony will be coaching our senior boys on Tuesdays with our current coaches and will also be working on our video analysis, a key area identified in our plan to develop our squad and help them succeed in the upcoming season.

Director of Rugby Andrew Moreland said of the appointment:

"I am really pleased to be able to welcome Tony to the club, with his addition the coaching set up is complete, the video analysis for me, is a key area where we will be able to identify specific areas of our game that we need to work on and Tony has great expertise in this field."

"In addition to this, Tony will be following up that analysis with coaching sessions on Tuesdays with us as well as, we hope, working on our community programme too."

Tony spent 9 and half years in the army, specifically, the tank regiment. He also represented both his regiment and corps side, coming runners up in 2013 in the corps division two title race. Tony has also played for Warminster and Pewsy Vale whilst in the army. His rugby playing journey saw him also play for Barking as a teenager as well as Dagenham and Illford. Finally, Tony played for UEL, winning the league last year.

Coaching wise, Tony helped the backs at UEL and now also coaches the Romford Ladies side.
