Further Update

On behalf of the injured who remain in the Royal London Hospital , their families and Barking RFC.

Everyone at Barking Rugby Club would like to thank each club, individual or establishment who have so far contributed to our Official Funding page or who have sent messages of support and sympathy in to the club. The support for our guys who were so sadly involved in the A13 accident has remained overwhelming and for us this has been emotional and heartwarming. The rugby community have come together again for these lads and a parent who were just on their way to a game of rugby.

Due to privacy and the wishes of the families we are unable to give full details of the individual situations but all of the guys suffered multiple fractures and injuries. All have since admission been operated on at least once and sadly one young man does have life-changing injuries.

The club itself now has trustees that will oversee the fund and the direction that it will take over what will be an extensive timescale of rehabilitation and hopefully recovery. All funds raised will most certainly be needed.

In due course we will be able to announce events in support of the fund and when and wherever possible updates on the conditions of the injured.

Neil Kersey - Secretary, Barking RFC
